OPEN SOURCE PROGRAMS

1)ICC tech

Infinite Clone Conspiracy(ICC) is a marvel-ous open-source program envisioned by Techsahead. Its mission is to educate learners about open-source programming and illustrate the power of real-time unified problem-solving. The projects that we will be hosting have been hand-picked to encourage everyone to think creatively and collaborate.

The students will be guided by qualified mentors throughout their power packed journey. They'll learn the skills they need to succeed in the programming industry while also learning a lot about open-source.

Project & Mentors registration end at 10th November 2021

Participants Registration will end at 20th November 2021

2) DWOC

DWoC(Delta winter of code)is a program operated by Delta Force, NIT Trichy with the aim to introduce programmers to the world of open source software. Participants are given the opportunity to contribute to our projects and to apply with us to complete them, where each student will spend 8 weeks working on a coding project.

Deadline for Student applications is 22nd November 2021 and the announcement of accepted student projects will be done on 25th November 2021.Finally the coding officially will begin from 29th November 2021.

3)SWOC

Script Winter of Code(SWOC) is an open-source program envisioned by the Script Foundation. It aims to bring students into the world of open source development and see the power of unified problem-solving in real time.The students will be guided by experienced mentors throughout their journey.

Deadline for Participant registrations and mentor registrations is 10th November 2021 and SWOC will begin from 1st december 2021.

HACKATHONS

1)DevJams

It is one of a kind hackathon conducted by Google Developer Student Clubs VIT every year to encourage tech enthusiasts from across the country to develop their ideas for the future.

DevJams have been successfully conducting DevJams (previously known as Devfest) for 5 years now. DevJams’21 will be the sixth edition.

This program will begin from 12th November 2021 and end on 14th november 2021.

2) Agent : Hacker

This is an interesting hackathon which is based on a theme of detective.Your assignment is to go undercover and create your favorite spy-themed hacks.This is a secret mission to think of mysterious ways to enhance your hacks and surprise us with your out-of-the-box ideas.

3)Garuda Hacks

Garuda Hacks 2.0 is a global 36-hour virtual hackathon where the world's greatest talents will compete to solve the world's most pressing challenges using technology.

Win various prizes, receive certificates, and get prioritized job applications at Indonesia's top technology companies.

It is free and open to everyone all over the globe.

You can apply as an individual or as a team (up to 4 participants max).

Garuda Hack will be Held virtually, 19-21 November 2021.

4) Give back Hacks -2(MLH)

This MLH hackathon is a 48-hour hackathon hosted every weekend in its community. Visit discord.mlh.io for more details about the ongoing hackathon.This event is open to hackers, all over the world. They will be running mini-events, workshops, and more to keep you entertained. Whether you build something on the theme or not, we want you to focus on having fun.

5) Civo Hackathon 

Civo Hackathon is an initiative to bring together developers, architects, experts, and students from across the globe to develop innovative Kubernetes projects on Civo. It provides a learning experience towards hosting applications on Kubernetes while exploiting the blazing fast speed and the simplicity of Civo’s Kubernetes platform.

STUDENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAMS

Google’s Women Techmakers program provides visibility, community, and resources for women in technology.Women Techmakers Ambassadors are community leaders around the world passionate about achieving gender parity in technology.

Since 2014, every year, they bring together thousands of women in technology through our events and leadership programs.

Today they have about 87 advocates,70k members with 325 communities across the globe and have completed 245 events in the past 6-7yrs.

Application for this program is open throughout the year.

SCHOLARSHIPS

1)Generation Google Scholarship: for Women in computer science

Generation Google Scholarship: for Women in computer science was established to help students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive $1,000 USD for the 2022-2023 school year.

2) Bertelsmann Tech Scholarship

The scholarship is open to any student, 18 years of age or older, interested in Azure Cloud Architecture, Business Analytics or Machine Learning. Both Bertelsmann employees and the general public are encouraged to apply for one of the three tech learning paths: Cloud, Data, or AI.

Bertelsmann’s media, services and educational offerings make it a leader in many areas of the digital world. Accordingly, the company wants to empower as many people as possible to be successful in the digital world. Over a three-year period Bertelsmann is funding as many as 50,000 tech scholarships for students to learn with Udacity.

Top students from this initial phase will earn a full Nanodegree program scholarship.

1)Spark AR x Techahead

In Spark AR Competitions, entrants submit effects inspired by a specific theme or idea. Points are mostly awarded based on the ratio of shares to opens they recieve. That means you can win prizes even if you don't have lots of followers. Making your effect unique, engaging and shareable is the key to success.
